Limerick team named for Galway showdown

The two will meet at the Gaelic Grounds on Sunday.

TJ RYAN AND Donal O’Grady have made a number of positional changes as Limerick get set to take on Galway in the Allianz National Hurling League quarter-final this weekend.

Cathal King moves from midfield to take the place of Stephen Walsh in the full-back line while Donal O’Grady now partners Paul Browne in the middle of the park.

Gavin O’Mahony takes a spot in the half-back line in place of Dan Morrisey while Conor Allis replaces Michael Ryan at corner-forward, a move that sees Kevin Downes moving to wing-forward.

Shane Dowling, who was named among the subs against Laois last week but whose 1-3 contribution proved vital, takes Downes’ place at 14.

Throw-in at the Gaelic Grounds is 3.30pm on Sunday.
